Ariyasomvilla came to my attention through their restaurant, Na Aroon, which specializes in vegetarian, organic foods. That alone sets the small hotel apart. So, even though it’s not a five-star establishment I thought it was worth a mention here.

Hotel Muse – Bangkok

Hotel Muse has been on my ‘must visit’ list for a while, and I was reminded of this when they came up recently for one of my weekly round-ups of promotions. So, I decided to put them at the top of the list and have a look. Right from the front entrance (below), you can tell Hotel Muse is something different. I daresay it’s the kind of place people are going to love or hate. I was certainly intrigued by it, but as I haven’t actually stayed there, I don’t know how well the design will wear. Sneak Peek – The Siam

That’s certainly been this week, times two. It’s usually not too hard to decide what to leave out. I just include the best three or four deals.

Before I present this week’s deals, just a little warning to keep an eye out for a special post coming out on Monday. It’s a sneak peek at the new The Siam hotel, and I guarantee you won’t want to miss it. (Continue reading →)

New in Bangkok: Sofitel Sukhumvit

I meant to check out the new Sofitel just after it opened back in April, but in the craziness that always leads up to a trip back to the States, I forgot about it. So I decided to rectify the situation with a quick look-in earlier this week.
