Getting Candi Dasa Village, East Bali

Perhaps the main reason Candi Dasa remains somewhat quiet is the difficulty in getting there. From the island's only airport, it takes a little over an hour to get to Candi Dasa. It's not entirely unpleasant, but after a long journey from Europe or North America, it may be a bit daunting.

The hotel owners in Candi Dasa aren't stupid, and realize that this is their biggest weakness, so many medium and high end hotels include free transfers in their room rates. You can also arrange transport at any of the tour shops around the southern tourist areas, or for something a little more reliable, you can contact the respected Blue Bird Group regarding transfers. From the airport, a regular taxi will cost you around 300,000 Rupiah (33.00 USD).
