Kbal Spean Kbal Spean is a stream in the mountains above the ancient city of Angkor which was once held sacred by the Khmer. The place was nicknamed “the River of 1,000 Lingas” for the phalic shapes chiseled into the stone bed of the stream.
Hot Waterfall The aptly named “Hot Waterfall” is one of the more unlikely attractions in southern Thailand's Krabi province. Water from a hot spring flows briefly through the jungle before flowing down a bank into a small river. Minerals (I'm guessing mostly copper from the color) have aggregated over many years to form deep pools good for soaking.
Umbrella Falls It's the time of year when I usually try to organize a hike to Umbrella Falls on Mt Hood. It's a nice hike across meadows that are ski slopes in winter, and if you're lucky there are ripe huckleberries to snack on along the way.
Falls Creek Falls So good they named it twice. Getting to the falls requires a short hike so it's less visited than some of the other spectacular falls in the Gorge. Located in Gifford Pinchot National Forrest, north of Stevenson, Washington. Falls Creek Falls
University Falls University Falls in the Oregon Coast Range. Water cascading down a moss-covered rock face.
